| DANIELLE AND COMET |
For about 6 months Danielle would call me periodically and ask me
questions about German Shepherds. I could tell that she had a
prepared list of questions and assumed that her parents had written
them out for her. When I asked her mother about it later, she told
me no, Danielle and her sister did the research and wrote out the
questions. Her parents would just look it over. She was 9 years old.
Danielle finally got her puppy and I have never enjoyed watching a
team like I do this team. And make no mistake about it, they are a
team!
At 11 years old she started protection training with Comet and they
are doing wonderful. Much to the shame of a few of the adults in our
training group she posts her own dog, often better then we do.
Many thanks to John of K-9 Perfection for working with Danielle and
Comet. John is as tough on Danielle as he is on the rest of us and
cuts her no slack because of her age.
I think this young lady is going to make her mark on the dog world
and I am really going to enjoy sitting in my rocking chair telling
people that I knew her when......
