German Shepherd dogs are our passion, we take great pride in our dogs!

Little River Canine is located in the beautiful rural community of North Florida.

We train, raise, and breed German Shepherd dogs from working bloodlines.

We breed for dogs that will live in the home as a companion, and can also function as a working dog.

Our German Shepherd dogs are not kennel dogs.

Each litter is planned with the goal of holding at least one dog back for our breeding program and our own enjoyment.

Our personal dogs are trained in personal protection and scent work.

We enjoy training for Rally and plan on trying herding in the next year.

Our breeding program is based on foundation dogs, and with each litter we keep the females we judge

to have the best potential to add to our program in the future.  By doing this and because of the open

communication we maintain with our buyers we get a good grasp of the genetics behind each dog.

Generally we use outside males for stud and as much as possible try and use a male where the owner

has the same knowledge of his bloodline. By not owning a “house” male we make a concentrated effort

to find the best match with our female.

German Shepherd Dogs from our breeding program are being trained in Schutzhund, Personal Protection, 

Herding, and in Scent Work. First and foremost they live in the home as a companion.
